Sea Hawk – Riva Tritone 86
Immaculately restored Riva Tritone
Sea Hawk represents a rare opportunity to own a Riva Tritone – hull number 86 built by the eponymous shipyard in Sarnico on Lake Iseo in northern Italy.
She was bought by Robert Rashbrooke (Lord) who sold her in 1965 to Mr C R Ross who upgraded her Chris Craft straight 6 engines to the more powerful V8 Chrysler 318.
There is a gap in her history until she was bought in 1992/93 by Gordon Farthing who started a long restoration, but due to bad health sold her to the current owner in 2012. He had previously owned an Aquarama but thinks the Tritone a stronger and better boat as she is planked rather than veneered.
The vendor sent Sea Hawk to Fine Wooden Boats near Peterborough for a complete hull restoration and re-upholstery.
The engines were rebuilt by Barkaways the Ferarri specialists and Berthon fitted the drive chain rewired, tested and snagged everything.
In summary every thing has been restored or renewed so she is now presented in fine fettle on her bespoke trailer, complete with cover, ski pole and plenty of invoices for the restoration. Please ask for more photos or come and see for yourself. Sea Hawk is available for viewing at our Beale Park boat store by appointment with Gillian so please call the office on 01491 578870 to arrange a viewing.
