Wild Oats – an Andrews slipper launch

A varnished mahogany Andrews

The ultimate slipper stern launch built by Andrews of  Bourne End in 1956;  hull no. 401 is a fine example of the genre which was fully restored by Henwood and Dean about 10 years ago for a previous owner. She was originally called Sweet Kate and could revert to her original name. The hull is of varnished mahogany complemented by obeche and mahogany. Extras include fitted floor coverings, glass holders, open glove pockets with companion lights. The boat has a blue pram hood and matching full length cover and is overwintering ashore.

This is a seriously high spec slipper launch which is priced to reflect the necessity of a fresh coat or two of varnish for the 2016 season. However we expect that she would survey well and make a splendid launch for a discerning new owner.
