Zest – an historic vintage slipper stern launch

A delightful 20ft slipper stern launch in lovely condition

This is a special little slipper stern launch, constructed according to the chrome builders plate by F. Andrews of Maidenhead. This would appear to date the boat around 1938 so just pre war. We know that Fred Andrews was based in Maidenhead at this time. Obviously in the past many decades the boat has had several owners including the most recent owners who bought the boat from HSC about 15 years ago and have been enjoying her ever since. She has had a full hull rebuild by Freebodys in 2014 to the tune of nearly £30,000. Invoices are available to view. The BSS certificate is valid to 2020 and she is licenced for the River Thames for 2018. The hull is an attractive cream with blue cushions on the natural lloyd loom chairs and aft bench. A new hood and cover were added in 2017 and are as new.

The Austin 4 cylinder petrol engine starts on the button as enjoyed by Gillian on a June delivery in 2018.

The boat will be sold with a year’s mechanical warranty.
