Cookery School onboard New Venture……

Come and join a motley crew of four messing about on board the fabulous classic Bates Star Craft ‘New Venture’.

Start the day with a glass of bucks fizz, or a coffee if you prefer, then it’s off to the Galley to cook up a prawn or two! Having spent your morning cooking, it’s then time to go aloft to enjoy the fruits of your labours, washed down with some excellent fine wines, all this while watching the beautiful scenery of the Thames slip gently by.

Our superb chefs are; Stephen Luscombe, Head Chef and owner of the Golden Ball, Mark Devonshire, erstwhile Head Chef at Rick Steins Restaurant & Cookery School and Justin Mason, former owner of the very successful Cornish Cookery School . During your workshop you will be taught to use your culinary skills within the confines of a galley, while learning more about how to select & prepare all manner of appropriate dishes with a strong emphasis on locally sourced produce.

For the more adventurous, the experienced Skipper will encourage you to negotiate a few locks & show you the basic skills of river cruising. Whether you choose to take the helm or simply sit back and enjoy the view, you are guaranteed a wonderful day out with a difference.
