This is a lovely sea boat for the true connoisseur. When Ocean Fauna was launched in 2005 she was selected as one of the best classic retro launches in the world by Boat International magazine.This 9.85m boat (32 ft) is a powerful mix of contemporary design techniques and tried and tested methods. She is an eye-catching comfortable day/weekend boat with a bespoke interior to the client's requirements. All Cockwells new-builds are custom-designed and Ocean Fauna has the latest in modern navigation aids and a durable paint system on the hull which is of a strip plank construction with douglas fir planking over laminated frames. The hull is made of two layers of double diagonal mahogany veneers bonded to the planks and coated in glass fibre fabric impregnated with epoxy resin finished with an Awlgrip paint system while the wheelhouse is constructed of solid teak joinery with toughened glass windows and stainless steel trim. The deck is constructed of 12mm marine ply sheathed with epoxy and overlaid with a fully swept teak deck. All deck fittings are of chromed bronze or 316 stainless steel. The deckhouse provides comfortable seating for six plus a helm seat and a navigator's seat. Down below, the well appointed galley includes sink, fridge, combination microwave and modern ceramic diesel cooker. Fittings include custom built drawers for cutlery and crystal glasses. Forward of the galley is the heads (electric), shower and hand basin. The vessel has a pressurised hot water system. The interior is hand crafted using Cornish chestnut and black walnut.There are twin diesel 125hp Yanmar (2004), fresh-water cooled, shaft drive, 4 blade bronze props. Cruising speed is 14 knots and maximum speed is 18 knots. Hydraulic wheel steering with twin bronze rudders.The system is 12 volt, four batteries charged by engine or shore power. Inverter to supply 240 volts AC, and an intelligent battery charging system. A generator option is available. The navigation equipment includes a compass, speed log, echo sounder, radar, VHF, GPS, chart plotter, autopilot, and navigation lights.
