Bronze Wing is an unusual launch with seating for up to 10 people. Constructed of mahogany on oak she was built in about 1950 by the now defunct Weybridge company variously known as Boats and Engines Ltd or Allday and Austin Ltd. She was used by the Thames Conservancy for some years until she moved into private hands. For the last ten years she has been moored on the Thames at Wargrave and used as a family boat. Prior to that she lived on the Maidenhead reach. Over the past 33 years she has only had 3 owners. One had her comprehensively restored in 1997 while the current owner has used Henwood and Dean for maintenance work more recently.

Unusually in a launch of this size there is seating for up to 10 persons. The helm is located on the port side with seating on either side of the engine box. Aft are 2 facing bench seats taking a total of six passengers

There is an original 1950 engine manual included in the large file which the present owner has amassed. She is said to run beautifully having been maintained regularly and winterised each season.

Currently ashore at our Beale Park premises. She would be lovely to use on either a river or a lake and could even be used as an onboard tender for a large motoryacht.
