Dorney is a very pretty, classic Dutch Commuter Launch built by Forslund in Holland in 1937 to a design similar to the Scandinavian Pedersen boats. Constructed of carvel mahogany on oak timbers interspersed with galvanised angle iron frames. Varnished inside and out to the waterline,

The engine is a Volvo B20 85PK 4 cylinder petrol. Instrumentation includes ammeter, oil pressure and water temperature gauges and revolution counter and has been serviced every year by the current owners.

The foredeck is of laid planking, with chrome mooring cleat, fairleads and mushroom ventilator, burgee mast. There is a three part timber frame windscreen with side frames, starboard section removes for access to foredeck. The aft deck is of laid timber with chrome cleat, fairleads and ensign socket. Double doors to cabin with four portlights, upholstered sofa/berths to each side. Stowage lockets forward. Cockpit with wheel steering to port and helm seat, picnic locker behind. Stowage locker and step to starboard, removable central engine box. Aft upholstered bench seat, with access behind for fuel tank and steering quadrant. There is an acrylic canvas cockpit pram hood with removable rear and side screens on stainless steel irons. The inventory includes mooring spike, fenders, warps, paddle and boathook.

Also included are cushions and an all-over winter canvas cover.
