An interesting and historic craft built on the Thames at the turn of the twentieth century possibly by Ned Andrews and constructed of iroko below the waterline and mahogany above. The cabin was retrofitted in the eighties by Dennetts and would benefit from an internal refit to include a loo compartment. However the hull is sound and was previously fitted with a steam engine and boiler. This was removed at the time of sale so the boat could now be returned to its electric origins (see Edward Hawthorne's excellent book on Electric Boats which features Eel). She is lying in Norfolk ashore awaiting a new owner. Estimated cost of boat to include hybrid propulsion unit and some internal alterations approximately £70,000.
