Ferry Lady
PRICE: £24,000DAY LAUNCH WITH CABIN

Classic wooden Broads cruiser
circa
26ft
Electric
6ft6ins
Until I stepped on board again recently I had forgotten just how spacious and useful this lovely Broads style launch is. Constructed of mahogany on oak, probably post war, the thirties styling is now back in vogue. Restored and fitted out for the present owners, they have found it perfect for entertaining "en famille". It would also make an excellent water taxi or hotel ferry. The spacious cabin and loo make it a relaxing river runabout where the weather is not an issue. The boat is extremely stable. Seating is either in the main cabin area, where a dining table can be fitted centrally, or in the aft cockpit. The driver and companion sit forward of the cabin which has a fitted cover for rain, sun and storage. The loo compartment is on the starboard side and is accessed from the aft cockpit. A deep cabin sole gives full headroom in the cabin area which can sleep two. There is a small aft galley with a sink and suitcase stove, above which is a sliding hatch. While batteries inevitably occupy some lockers there is still ample storage. A new charger and full battery set were fitted in summer 2008. New Boat Safety certificate and Thames licence. Available for viewing afloat. Please call 01491 578870 for an appointment to view on the middle Thames.
