Quote from the documented history :

30ft Grey Hound Slipper Launch 'RIPPLE BY' No.174

Built 1939, but not sold & registered until 1940.

Mr. Warren (original owner) owned No.174 until July 1945 when she was sold to the Duke of Sutherland of Guildford, Surrey who used her on the River Wey. The original name 'RIPPLE BY' was retained by Mr. Warren for use on another boat and No.174 was renamed 'GOLDEN GLORY' by the Duke of Sutherland.

The boat has a BSS certificate to 2013.
