Grey Pearl is a 1936 Watercraft Gentleman's Motor Yacht in very good condition having had a recent full survey and new Safety Certificate which expires in June 2015. She is a single screw motor launch of conventional long keel and round bilge hull with canoe stern of timber construction of mahogany 7/8th planking over oak frames.Grey Pearl was in one ownership for 34 years prior to the current owner and moored at Plymouth. The owner was a marine engineer and his son a wooden shipwright which ensured she was well maintained and all relevant works carried out over the years. During this time the wheelhouse was completely rebuilt whilst retaining the original roof section from 1936.The engine is a Newage/BMC 3.8 diesel engine type Commodore, developing 70hp and turning at 8 knots.Two masts are fitted securely by tabernacle fittings. The mizzen mast is secured on deck with a sail stowed below.Electronic equipment on board features 3 x heavy duty 12v batteries and lighting.Navigation equipment includes Garmin 182 C Chart Plotter, Icom VHF radio and Stowe Echo Sounder.Domestic equipment includes Jabso Marine Toilet (currently disconnected) two burner grill and oven with gas connections, a Taylors Diesel fired cabin heater and elelctric fridge.Grey Pearl is available to view locally in the Henley-on-Thames area by appointment.
