Jomarna is an exceptional twin engined motor cruiser which has featured in Motor Boat and Yachting in May 1993 while the 8ft Brazilian cedar on oak tender was featured in Classic Boat in September 1991. History and photos are available in our office to interested parties. She is described as a 40ft double cabin enclosed bridge cruiser, one of the first to be built in 1937 at the original Chris Craft yard in Algonac on the American bank of the St Clair river north of Detroit. She is believed to be a Dunkirk Little Ship and BBC film footage for the newsreel in 1944 shows her being towed through London in preparation for the Dunkirk crossing. However it has yet to be proven that she did in fact make the journey so is not an official member of the Little Ships Association. Previously in the same ownership for 25 years she has had two major refurbishments, the first in 1992 and the most recent in 2007. The soft furnishings feature nautical stripes a la Ralph Lauren throughout. The breadth of the boat allows for well sized cabins and a massive saloon with the galley fully equipped including microwave, double s/s bowls, fridge with ice box. She is equally suitable for winter use as there is an excellent heating system. For the helmsperson there is an autopilot, radar, chart plotter, GPS and compass. There are two spacious heads, one with shower. The BSS certificate is valid until August 2010 and the EA licence current. A good Thames mooring is available by separate arrangement.
