Named after the stylish Edwardian lady, Lillie Langtry was built on a Steam and Electric launch company fibre glass hull known as a Frolic 31 by Tony Hayes of Hennerton Marine. She is one of the finest electric launches on the River Thames and was purpose built to allow elegant entertaining with all on-board facilities. Indeed she was used for corporate entertainment until 2001 when the current owner purchased her.She combines stability and comfort with ease of movement on board. There is a roomy, warm and light cabin with button-velvet seating, oriental carpet, mahogany dining table and stereo.She is powered by a 4kw electric engine giving her ample power for movement and manoeuverablility.The exterior was revarnished in April 2007 when the top was recovered.New traction batteries were fitted in May 2009 and electrics modified to be able to charge and/or run on either bank or both.A trailer has been used to store the boat in winter when it has been kept in a barn. Included in the sale is the trailer and cushions.The boat holds a current EA licence unitl December 2013.Lillie Langtry is available for viewing near Abingdon in Oxfordshire on a private mooring by appointment.
