Lars Herfeldt decided to change tack and realise the dream of a lifetime, namely to build his own boat to a design he had always coveted. He duly enrolled at the Lyme Regis Boatbuilding Academy and emerged a year later with hundreds of hours of experience and a lovely boat named Lola. So beautiful is she that Watercraft Magazine featured her (do ask us for a copy of the article). The boat is built of cold moulded khaya and powered by a BUKH diesel engine. She comes complete with trailer, winter cover, canopy, oars and bags of style. Call us for more information. The boat is currently stored in Germany close to the builder's home. Easy to trail though so no problems exploring Europe's lakes on the way home !
