Maid of Lorne is a motor sailer built in 1953 based on the design of Silver boats, with a pitch pine hull and Burmese teak top sides. The hull was repainted last year in 2010 and the engine serviced at the same time.

The gas has been removed from the boat but can easily be reinstalled by a new purchaser if required. The Heads have portable 'river use' loo installed; equally a sea toilet can be put back in and will go with the boat.

Maid of Lorne is clean and sound but not fitted to modern standards in the interior. Howeveer she has been with one owner from new so her purchase would offer a new owner a superb opportunity to make their mark on a highly original classic.

Maid of Lorne is for sale afloat on the Thames on the owner's mooring. The expiry date of the Boat Safety Scheme Certificate is 2014 and the expiry of the EA licence is April 2012.
