Merrywind is a classic luxury river cruiser built by the very best boat builder at the time on the Norfolk Broads, Windboat. She has a hull shape which is particularly elegant, and internally the best of the original has been retained, with the addition of most modern comforts. She has large windows and wide side decks with lovely flat cabin tops for sunbathing. The interior is beautifully light and airy and she will seat 7/8 in the aft saloon with ease. The sleeping accommodation is divided into two cabins with one toilet/shower. Merrywind had a comprehensive restoration over a 9-year period from approximately 1996-2005 with major work involving the replacement of the roof and wheelhouse. A new household cooker, Webasto warm air heating, new shower unit, new stainless steel waste tank, navigation lights and new stainless steel fuel tank have all been installed by the current owner. The boat has also been out of the water each year since the current owners purchased her for additional coats of hull paint and anti-fouling plus hull examination - although no work ever proved necessary. A new water manifold was fitted in 2010.
