Primrose Hill is an exceptional wooden launch built in the first decade of the last century and maintained as new. She was extensively rebuilt in the late eighties by Henwood and Dean, having lived for years as Minehaha on the Spade Oak Reach of the Thames, reemerging thence as "Bijou". A few years later she was renamed Primrose Hill and refurbished internally. After a bit of a drowning in the floods of 2007 she has now resurfaced (excuse the pun) with a new propulsion unit as well as lashings of paint and varnish courtesy of Messrs Brownjohn of Henley on Thames and is thus presented in first class order. During the refurbishment a removabletable was installed in the bow - a welcome addition. Powered by a Best 48 volt DC electric motor of some 2.5 kw she has eight 200 amp hour batteries which are ample for a day's cruising and a good turn of speed. Date of expiry for Boat Safety certificate is 1st March 2013

She has won several prizes for her present owners from the Thames Traditional Boat Rally where she is a familiar sight.
