This is an exceptional launch restored by Peter Freebody for the present owners in 2004/5. It was originally named Colne and was one of several built by Bushnells of Wargrave for the Thames Conservancy. The hull is of triple planked cedar and its fine lines are reminiscent of a sailing boat hull. The external paint is black with a varnished interior. The original chrome plaque is still proudly present on the bow. The decks are of scrubbed teak while the interior is varnished with the engine box astern of the driver and passenger's lloyd loom chairs doubling as a table. Unusually for a conservancy launch there is no division between the forward and aft seating making it a socially agreeable boat for four to six people. The boat comes with a tonneau and a full length cover. There is a current EA licence and a BSS certificate valid until 2010. Call us to view afloat.
