Takeover is a Royal 34 Baltic and a very good example of this popular Swedish classic motor yacht. She was built in 1969 and is constructed of carvel mahogany planking on oak frames, white painted topsides, mahogany superstructure, teak side decks and fore-deck, centre cockpit and 6 berth interior layout including the attractive aft cabin with its own access, sink and hanging cupboards.The Twin Ford FSD 425 Diesels, each 75hp, are very economical and were fitted by the current owner with Thames cruising in mind. Cruising speed under engines is around 8 or 9 knots; her maximum speed is about 14 knots.5 berths in 3 cabins include 2 'V' berths in the forward cabin, a single settee berth in the saloon and aft owner's cabin with 2 large settee berths. The galley and loo are well fitted out with typical Swedish style including plenty of storage space and even a built in bread board !Restoration has included many new interior and exterior fittings and fixtures, new electronics and new furnishings including all berth cushions, upholstery, curtains and carpets.
