Constructed of mahogany on oak by Michael Dennett in 1984 for a riverside dwelling customer, Sunbeam seats six to eight passengers with wheel steering amidships and slightly astern of centre. Seating is mainly aft with additional corner seats in the bow. The decking is of Sitka spruce while the internal wood is mahogany for the engine box, seats and lockers. Teak gratings make for a robust finish to the cockpit sole. The brass bow plate has a smiling sun engraved upon it which enhances the individuality of this endearing launch. The Coventry Climax aluminium petrol engine is quiet and reliable according to the current owner with a history of annual maintenance. It boasts 1000 ccs and a closed circuit cooling system. There are two 5 gallon petrol tanks. The TVBC registration number is 26 and the BSS certificate valid until July 2011. This much loved craft comes with a cockpit cover, a tailored winter cover and a trailer as well as masses of documentation including a workshop manual.
