This is a Thames launch of impeccable pedigree. She was owned for many years by a family near Sonning and the story goes that the ladies would venture out after a game of bridge for a sunset g&t on board. During this long period of ownership she was variously maintained by Freebody and Henwood & Dean. At that time the boat had its original Grays 4 cylinder engine which was replaced in 2014 by a Nanni diesel offering improved reliability.
Gibbs of Trowlock Island built a number of open launches which are still cruising the reaches of the Upper and Middle Thames. They are distinctive due to their strawberries and cream decking (mahogany and pine usually), mostly still with varnished hulls rather than painted.
Pietra Santa can seat six and was used occasionally for private charter under a previous owner. There are four Lloyd loom chairs and an excellent canopy plus a full inventory. The boat has a BSS certificate valid to 2025.
