Thames Bank – electric punt
Traditional electrified punt
A rare opportunity to acquire a very unusual Thames classic punt. Punts were hugely popular in Victorian times when people donned their summer best and boarded a train for a day on the river anywhere between Richmond and Oxford with Henley and Maidenhead particularly popular. There is something sybaritic about lazing on a punt. The Chauffeurs’ punt has luxurious velvet cushions and adds a table for long liquid lunches or even overnight camping, thanks to a pair of pram hoods and side curtains with windows. A side leather covered wheel steers the hidden electric pod motor in the stern. When not in use, the punt is fully protected from the sun and rain by a set of folding covers.
