I am still dreaming of whales after an awesome visit to a Turkish shipyard courtesy of our gulet skipper from Bozborum on a recent odyssey to the Turkish mediterranean coast.

While our wooden beauty “Nur Galip” was as comfortable and spacious as any normal mortal might require, we were told that hidden in a massive new hangar was the world’s biggest ever gulet to be built in wood.

Unfortunately for the shipyard and the future owner his bank account has been put on hold due to world events.

I was sufficiently wowed by the three year, 35 metre project which you see in the first stages of the build in the photo.
